Fall Term 2020

The Alexander Gallery presents...

Disillusionment

works by Edie Overturf

September 21 - December 11, 2020

“Disillusionment” is a selection of recent prints, drawings and books that are inspired by feelings of impending doom when reflecting upon the current environment and contemporary political climates. Overturf utilizes linocut, woodcut, screenprint, monoprint and letterpress printmaking techniques in combination with traditional bookmaking methods to create works that elaborate on these issues of concern and inspire dialog.

Edie Overturf is the Professor of Printmaking and Drawing at Mt. Hood Community College. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States and previously been supported by The Image Fund Grant and Academic Innovation Grant of the University of Minnesota.

The Alexander Gallery supports the work of established and emerging artists. This exhibition and artist lecture is made possible by the Alexander Gallery endowment. For further information about this exhibition please contact Kate Simmons at kates@clackamas.edu or 503-594-3032.
